Is my PSU failing or...?

So I built my gamely PC less than two years ago. I'm a family heavy gamer and also live in a tropical climate in Mexico where ita hot humid and not ideal for the life of a PC.

So a few months ago now I noticed the fans on my gigabyte GTX970 G1 graphics card was louder than usual. Not just while gaming but also while idle. It has been a hot summer but monitoring the systems temperatures I was constantly running at safe levels. Unable to determine now if it was the GPU fan or perhaps one of the other fans on the case or even the PSU.

Last week when I tried to power up, I would simply get a black screen saying something like "Please connect PCI power cables to your Graphics card" and after a few attempts with the same result I then switched out he graphics card for my old one. Computer loaded fine considering the graphics card had been sitting in a drawer. The next day PC wouldn't turn on again.

Nothing, no lights fans, nothing. Maybe 15 minutes later. PC was just on. I didn't press the power button it was just on? Weird. I swapped back to my graphics card I was using before and it was fine. Other than what sounds like surges to the fans on the GPU I had been experiencing the weeks before it was all working fine. So I start thinking maybe it's the PSU...

The next day. Won't turn on. A few failed attempts turning back on, I stepped out of the house and came back to the PC turned on again. Weird.

Today I come home and nothing. Maybe it will decide to turn on later and work fine. I'd like to diagnose and resolve this issue. I feel like because it's either all or nothing right now, that it's not the GPU failing but perhaps the power source unit.

Not sure what to do next. Go ahead and buy a new PSU online and hope that's the Solution? Thought it best to get settled advice first

Thanks in advance

I will check with them. I'm right thinking this is an issue with the PSU then? I don't really live in an area where testing it or even buying a retail replacement is an option.

Except the whole systems worked fine for years.

Today however nothing will turn on. No indications of life anywhere making it hard to diagnose.

I'm pretty sure the PSU has failed and I should go ahead and order a replacement. EVGAs warranty is only for direct purchases.

As long as it is an authorized retailer, warranty will kick in. EVGA website:

EVGA Corporation ("EVGA") warrants that the Product (defined below) delivered hereunder to the original purchaser ("Original Purchaser") from EVGA.com or an EVGA Authorized Reseller (each an "Authorized Reseller") will be free from material and workmanship defects that adversely affect the performance of the Product under normal use, pursuant to the terms outlined below. This Limited Warranty is only valid for the Original Purchaser, is non-transferable and does not extend to any used Products or Products not purchased from EVGA.com or an Authorized Reseller.

So I got a replacement PSU and still no signs of life at all. Everything was working fine until Monday nights and I haven't been able to turn it on since. I'm not sure what I should do next
