[SOLVED] 75 FPS in BF1 at 1080p with GTX 1080ti

Hello.
i think i have a problem
i just got a GTX 1080ti about 3 weeks ago
i get in BF1 about 75 fps
and fortnite about 120 fps
and in cs go about 220-250 fps

and i get so many drops when ever something happens in bf1 the fps goes down to 30 and around that

my system is
i7 3770
EVGA Gtx 1080ti SC Black Edition
16gb ram 2x4 1x8
i dont know if that is just bottleneck or i do have a problem

i play at 1080p

check cpu/gpu usage temp, msi afterburner is a good tool.

What was your previous GPU? Did you uninstall your GPU's drivers before you removed your old card?

Sapphire Readeon HD7950 3GB

yes i reinstalled the whole windows when i got the 1080ti

max cpu usage i saw is 77
and max gbu usage i saw 68

my suspicion is on ram then, can you try 2x4 ram only?

Yes, make sure you have dual channel. You can also overclock the i7 with this mobo. Manually set core multiplier to 43 and make sure you have multicore enhancement enabled, or whatever Asrock calls it. That will give you 4.1 ghz on all cores.

check CPU usage during those FPS drops, BF1 is CPU heavy and heard some optimization issue with some patch.

i got around 85 to 95
but very very very few drops , and when drops cpu usage hit 90+

Seems your setup is fine, the 90+ cpu usage is causing FPS drop. Not sure about Fortnite.

Ryzen 2600 or 8th gen/9th gen I5/I7 should help.

Get yourself a 2x8 RAM kit in the fastest speed you can afford.

The RAM mixing seems odd, that *could* be the culprit, you need RAM in pairs, otherwise that one 8GB stick would be underperoforming.

i removed one of the 4gb

and put 8gb in it's place ,

the problem i was having is XMP profile and i solve it ,
now i can play peacefully
