Upgrade to i5 4460 from FX 8320?

So my friend recently upgraded and is selling his i5 4460 + h87 mobo + 8gb ram for $125 CAD
I'm thinking of selling my current fx 8320 + m5a99x evo mobo + 8gb ram for $210 and switching over
But will the i5 really be better in gaming? (modern and old games)
My gpu is a gtx 1060 6gb and I play games like gta5, overwatch, battlefield, pubg, skyrim, etc.

I got a fx 8320 OCed to 4.5 and a GTX 960 and get good FPS's in most of my games @1200p. My server is a i5-4570. Before i made it my self i tried testing it out with games. I saw no difference. I also do a lot of video editing. My FX Chewed though it faster than the i5. I think they are pretty even from what I have see and done. You would be better off saving your money and upgrading to a current i5 instead.

Was in a similar situation as you and decided to go for an upgrade to 4460 from my fx 6300. If you can get it for $125 it is honestly quite a good deal. The i5 will be SIGNIFICANTLY faster in some games and marginally faster in others. The motherboard also offers a somewhat decent upgrade path, so you could always get a used 4790 and drop it in. The money is yours, so the final decision is up to you but if I were you I'd go for it.
