Is UEFI Graphics Card a must on UEFI Motherboard to boot Windows in UEFI Mode?

I have seen this post, but it further adds to my confusion. Also the post is now bit old.

I will be building a system based on AMD Ryzen CPU & AM4 motherboard. My aim is to install either Windows 7 (with patching for USB3/NVMe drivers) or Windows 10 on it in such a way that the system should boot in UEFI mode with GPT Partition scheme. I do not want to go with older MBR BIOS mode.

Since Ryzen Desktop CPU anyways need a discrete Graphics Card, I will be required to buy one.
I have checked the specs of basic Graphics Cards (I am not into gaming) on say Gigabyte site. They don’t say anything about UEFI in specs.

Now is it really necessary to buy a UEFI Card? First of all what is meant by UEFI Graphics Card, does it mean that it outputs GOP based graphics rather than VGA?

If I install a PCIe Graphics Cards (where there’s no clarity on UEFI) and assuming it’s not UEFI do I lose the option to boot Windows in UEFI Mode?

Is there anyway, the GPU can be set to Legacy Mode but Windows can be forced to boot in UEFI Mode in BIOS on AM4 boards? Then it should serve the purpose I guess.

On my Asus Laptop there’s a ‘Windows 7’ switch in BIOS. I guess it forces the initial onboard Graphics in BIOS Mode but then lets Windows boot in UEFI, I have Windows 10 installed in UEFI with GPT HDD on it.
Thanks and regards,

Any card you buy today will be both UEFI and Legacy BIOS compatible. So, when you install Windows in UEFI mode with a modern gfx card, there's no problem.
UEFI means Unified Extensible Firmware Interface. It is a replacement for the older BIOS (firmware). The card's firmware needs to interface with the motherboard's firmware. Generally speaking, there never is an issue. But there are exceptions. Your situation shouldn't be one of them.
