will MSI b350 Tomahawk support 2600 AMD CPU out of the box?
and by "2000 series ready" written on the box do they mean it only support 2200 & 2400 APU or it does support all kind of 2000 CPU such as 2600, 2700, 2700x ?

Solution
Should be good to go out of the box, if you get a Motherboard that does in fact have the updated BIOS. Most should come with it already up to date but sometimes you can get old stock. The cost difference between a B350 and B450 is almost no existent so I would say buy a B450 to guarantee compatibility.

I've heard conflicting reports on the "2000 series ready" boards- most of them seem to have had an update to make them compatible with the 2200/2400 but not the products that came along a tad later. I could be wrong but you could always ask the retailer for clarification

What 'products that came later' are you talking about? Zen2 CPU's haven't arrived yet.

As far as I know any BIOS that comes with a '2000 series ready' AM4 board means it will boot and operate any Ryzen AM4 chip currently sold.

Of course, as with any motherboard available in a store, it probably has later BIOS version available on the MFR's support site. Those late versions were released for a reason and whether it helps or hurts can depend a lot on the specific hardware combination (CPU, memory, GPU, etc.) present in any specific system.

I have read where some later BIOS updates supposedly don't support EARLIER Bristol Ridge APU's, though, but haven't seen or read of any specific cases of that happening. AM4 Bristol Ridge APU's, which use I think the Excavator architecture and not Zen, were sold as a stop-gap until the Ryzen APU's (Ryzen with Vega graphics, more correctly) came available.

so am i good to go?

It's got the sticker so initial BIOS support shouldn't be a problem. You're probably going to want to update as soon as you get it up and running anyway.

But you can take it back for refund if it doesn't work, right? and as someone else said: if they got a B450 Tomahawk, get that instead. With it's superior VRM (with REAL heatsinks on the FET's!) it's a much better board.
