I am doing my first build and i know this question has been asked a thousand times but each different thread i read has a different answer from the previous thread. I have an ASUS z370-A motherboard with an m240LR coolermaster AIO Pump; The AIO pump is a three pin connector. Can i plug the AIO Pump into the CPU Fan and the Radiator fans into the CPU OPT ports instead of plugging the AIO pump to its labeled connector? The AIO pump connector is dead center on the board and would be hard to cable manage. But since the AIO Pump is 3 pin it would just run 100% even when connected to the CPU FAN correct? Thank you for your time all help /tips are appreciated.

Solution
No , plug the fans to the cpu header & the pump to the cpu opt,.

The reason being the cpu header has an automatic dc switching mode if a 3 pin cable is connected which means pump speed will still be variable.

Cpu opt will run pump full speed which is what you want.
