I do not have the option for SLI on my nVidia control panel.

My specs are;

i7 7700
2x256GB M.2 nvme SSD
2xGTX 1070
Asrock B250 PRO4 motherboard

Is there any reason why? It says it supports crossfire on the Asrock website and it has 2 PCI-e x16 3.0 slots on it.

No problem, fortunately there are still some fairly cheap options for motherboards for SLI (and will allow you to overclock that 7700K if desired), look at my list above. I have the Coffeelake (Z370) version of the Gigiabyte SLIXP board and I like it although it did require a BIOS upgrade to use my graphics cards (running 550 ti's 2gb in SLI as I have no money right now lol)

Crossfire is AMD technology for pairing AMD cards in sync. SLI is nvidia technology for pairing nvidia cards in sync. Not the same. Crossfire will work on any mobo that has 2x pcie x16 slots, but sli is more picky and will only work on boards that say it will, usually the higher grade boards. Considering the sheer lack of decent crossfire support in games, it's not a major selling point anymore.
