My old PC was starting to die off part by part so I started to gradually upgrade it. I started with Mobo since the old was dead. I ordered an Asrock 970 Extreme 4 to fit my old cpu until I save for a new one. Unfortunarly the retailer called me to say it is out of stock. And since I need my PC back in working order soon I impulse buyed a Z370 thinking it was similar since it was also Extreme 4. My gut told me to stop while mounting the motherboard. So I checked some stuff and saw that my Fx 6100 might not be compatible. Is there any chance they work together or do I need to splash the cash on a new intel cpu?
