Worried About Bottle necking If I Upgrade My GPU

Hello, so I was going to sell my gtx 970 and upgrade to a gtx 1080, but I'm worried about my cpu not being able to catch up with the new gpu. I have a Intel Core i7-4770k @3.4ghz. Will I be ok in getting this upgrade or should I wait for a new cpu?

You will be fine. There are very few games which will really bottleneck severely. AC: Origins is one that will on ultra, but other than that, I can't think of any. If you were to go to something like a 2080ti, then i would be more concerned, but with a 1080, that combo will do very nicely, especially if you OC the 4770k.
