I have a gateway pc I got on a trade and from what I have gathered the pc has:

Windows 7 pro
Intel 8 core i7 2600k
16gb ram
Ati Radeon HD 5700 series
2tb hard drive

I have to keep all my games video settings on medium. I would like to be able to get my graphics up higher but I don’t know weather a new graphics card would be enough or not? What would you replace and what would you leave? Keeping in mind that I don’t want to spend a grand on making a whole new gaming pc. Thanks for your input.

Gateway XD4860-EF32P is the computer. XD4860 being the motherboard model and I’m not sure the psu but I would imagine it would be the factory 300w psu. As far as a budget I don’t have one I just don’t want to get into $1000 price range, if I can get by with a new graphics card perfect, if I have to get a few other things, then I can.
