i have a i7 8700k with H110iGTX cooling

idle temps are 40-43 degree

gaming temps go till 75-80

rendering 90+

is it safe? i have installed cooling properly with push config

Solution

Multicore Enhancement is probably enabled, which runs all cores at 4.7GHz. Problem is, that it pumps way too much voltage in to ensure stability and you wind up with stupidly high temperatures. With the 8700k, once you go above about 1.35V for Vcore, you basically have to delid to keep temps under control, MCE...

4.7 GHz? Well that's probably your issue. Go into the BIOS and bring things back down.

is that a problem ?
because it was automatic

With the 8700k, once you go above about 1.35V for Vcore, you basically have to delid to keep temps under control, MCE will push that much voltage to ensure stability. If you need 4.7GHz on all cores, you're better off doing a manual overclock, unless you have an absolutely terrible chip, you'll be able to get 4.7GHz at a much lower voltage and get much cooler temps.

i did a load optimised defaults. now
set everthing on auto ..
Multicore is off
I disabled intel step
turbo - enabled
xmp - auto
cpu-core ratio - set to auto ( per core/ sync core)

temps are down it's 35-40 degree idle temp
rendering didnt check yet. My ratio is fluctuating 4.4ghz - 4.7ghz

is everything good? or shud i manual or change any settings?
i dont want to manually overclock whatever the processor can im good with it

You can test with rendering to see what temps you get. The default all core Turbo for the 8700k is 4.3GHz, so it's not a huge step back from 4.7GHz on all cores. If you are still getting high temps one other thing you can do is change the CPU SVID Behavior setting in the BIOS. By default it is set to "Worst Case Scenario" which pumps a lot of voltage into the chip to ensure stability. If running at stock you may be able to set it to "Best Case Scenario" which will run the chip at a lower voltage and decrease temps.
