is it possible to setup a screen with 144hz over an 8 gen onboard graphics using an dual link dvi cable?

My new graphics card has no DVI output... my screen supports 144hz just over dvi ;(

Does PUBG have an option that allows you to select the GPU it uses? Some games do allow you to select a GPU and you might be able to force it to render on the AMD/Nvidia card and have it output through the integrated graphics that way, but that doesn't necessarily work with every game, and there is no guarantee you'll get proper high refresh rate support doing it that way. You can try it if you want, but there is no...
Well on paper the Intel UHD 630 does support high refresh rate, but whether it supports that on DVI is up to the motherboard vendor.

Having said that, if you are planning on gaming with this high refresh monitor, hooking up to the integrated graphics will not offer you a good experience. You will not be able to have your Nvidia or AMD GPU render the game and then output it through the integrated graphics chip, so you'll get Intel integrated performance eg. struggle to get 30FPS at low settings.

If you are unfortunate enough to have a 144Hz monitor with no DisplayPort support, your only two real options are either buy a new monitor that has DisplayPort, or buy a $100 active adapter that converts Dual Link DVI to DisplayPort.

thanks for your reply!
I'm a bit confused. Currently i have one of my Screens connected to my onboard DVI (its an old i5-3570k CPU with an Intel HD4000 graphics).

I Just started PUBG, changed to window mode, pulled it over to the Screen thats connected to the onboard DVI and still got the full FPS @ max Settings oO

Some board vendors may not enable dual link support as a cost cutting measure. If it can support dual link, you'll at least get 144Hz on the desktop and for any game that allows a GPU selection.
