I cant format my pc

I've been with this problem since the last 3 hours and I cant solve it (I have a new pc and wanted to use the old hdd since I dont have another) I've done everything, prioritized the usb in the boot, nothing, I changed to default settings, nothing, I tried with 4 different pendrives, nothing, I try installing windows 7 in the pendrive instead of 10, nothing it all makes me go to verifying DMI pool when trying to format and it makes me so * frustrated I follow the tutorials exactly but still * nothing

Its an old one a GA-78LMT-S1, I'm trying to format it so I can use the hdd in my new b450 motherboard with a ryzen 2600x
Before you ask it, yes I've already tried putting the hdd on the new motherboard and formatting it from there but my monitor says that the cable is not connected even tho it is
