Question about motherboard standoffs

I have a fractal design define R6 and it has 8 standoffs installed plus one rubber standoff in the middle, (which doesn't have a screw hole).

My motherboard has 10 standoff screw holes.

Is the rubber standoff safe? Would I need to replace it with a normal standoff?

The rubber standoff should be safe.

The bottom line with mounting a motherboard is that you want it insulated, you want it secure, and you don't want it stressed.

You basically want it to just be laying there not stressed (but secure) and isolated.

Standoffs provide grounding, so exactly the opposite to being insulated, just in case the OP knows a little about electricity and gets concerned.

I'd leave it in place, I suspect that one is insulated as it is solely for mechanical support and won't interfere electrically with the board.

Some standoffs provide grounding....some don't. It is determined by the board design.
