Hi guys. Im looking forward to build a new pc for myself, BUT i was wondering if i could maybe cheap out just a littttle bit on the cpu since the pc is mainly gonna be used for gaming, not for editing or whatever. So, at the moment im rocking a 1050 Ti with an i5 4460, and yea, i wanna 'ugrade' to an FX 8350 pairing it with a 1080. I know pairing that cpu with a powerful 1080 will cause a bottleneck effect, but im still wondering if the upgrade will be any good, or will it be THAT bad? Thanks fr the answers!

No, no, and no. You don't cheap out by going with an old, outdated, obsolete, and dead-end CPU/mobo. Your i5-4460 would be a better CPU to pair with the GTX 1080 than the FX-8350. Not sure where you got the idea that would be an upgrade.

You could simply buy an i7-4790K on eBay and have your upgrade. But, I would probably save for a new CPU/mobo/RAM combo while just using your i5-4460.

Yeah that why i said 'upgrade' :) RAM and stuff are fine, the parts are all picked, originally i was going with the 2700X with the 1080, this idea just crossed my mind looking at CPU's. Thanks for your answer!
