Super bad screen tearing in games like PUBG and Assassin's Screen Odyssey. I Have an FX RX580 8GB gpu, Acer XG270HU monitor, 16GB ddr4 ram, intel i5-8600k cpu, Z370 mobo

Yikes. Running out of ideas here. Last step would be to attach monitor to a known working freesync system to see if the monitor is at fault.

If thats not an option would look at warranty replacement.

I know I have it enabled on the radeon control panel but not sure where to find the setting on the monitor. I am using the displayport cable.

Downloaded the driver for my monitor, but it didn't seem to make a difference for the screen tearing. Freesync does seem to be enabled though

That appears to be only showing half your ram but dont think that’s related to your problem.

Freesync goes all the way down to 30fps on that monitor so also not a fps problem.

If you lower the eye candy say from ultra to high or medium does the increased fps change the situation?

Did you reinstall the driver with ddu in safe more? Make sure all motherboard drivers are up to date as well.

At this point I’d be looking at a different dp cable and using a different port on the gpu also.

Lowering eye candy did not help with the tearing at all. I reinstalled the driver in safe mode with ddu and I have updated my motherboard drivers. I tried both differents ports and inputs (hdmi, dvi) and nothing seemed to help?

Yeah I'm using the display port in 1.2 mode but still tearing.
