Okay so I'm building a new computer but I don't know which of these two CPUs should I go for because I want to save as much money as possible. I would go for 1300X, but I don't know about that 4 threads? Will it be a problem? Will it with 1400's 8 threads be more future-proof (I saw some people say that maybe some games will be using more threads in the future, idk, something like that)? I know 1300X is better for gaming because its stock speeds, but I thought of overclocking the 1400 so I get a little bit better perfromance. By the way 1400 is $30 more expensive than 1300X, and maybe it is not that much, but still I want to finish this build with more money in my pocket.

So, should I get 1400 because 4 more threads or no? Thanks in advance.
P.S. I will play games 90% of the time (Fortnite and some AAA titles like AC Odyssey), no streaming or recording.

Solution
I would personally get the 1300X. Higher boost clock and can be overclocked higher.

However they're both very similar in terms of performancen

As @clutchc said it. Depends on hoe you see the future as the R5 1400 is better for the future.

However the R3 1300X is better for right now thanks to its high clock speed and games thrive on single-threaded performance anyways.
