I have a BIG problem with my GPU ( Ati Radeon HD 4350, I know it is cheap and old...) on my DESKTOP, which is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bits Edition, with 8 GO of RAM and the processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 at 3.16 Ghz.
My GPU suddenly started overheating a couple weeks ago, for apparently no reason, at idle, which makes the fan spinning at 100% all the time. The most important thing to know here is: it already happened a couple times in the past years, but I never been able to understand what was exactly the issue. It always fixed by itself, or after some Windows Settings modifications, for examples: Once it been fixed by changing Windows theme, an other time it was by resetting defaults in Catalyst Control Center or reinstalling drivers, once it was a virus... Never the same! But now the problem is that I tried everything: Clean windows reinstall, many clean virus scans with all the programs I could find (Combix Fix, Malwarebytes, Avast, Spybot, Rkill, TDSSKiller, and many others ) many clean drivers reinstallation with and without DDU, cleaned up the whole PC and GPU, checked cables, all updates, tried everything, EVERYTHING.
It allways start suddenly, and I used to be able to fix, but now I can't find a solution.. Also tried many forums suggestions, you're my last chance !!! I also tried playing with Power Plans (Windows) for it did not fix it this time. Once it started by changing Avast Setting... But this time, everything was fine, and then my computer went in Sleep mode for the night. When I woke up and moved the mouse, the computer got out of sleep mode and the GPU started overtheating....
Important: I can't manually control fans in CCC, which I was able to do before it started to go wrong (even if I never needed to control it ) Another thing: While inspecting my hard drive with GParted, I realised that there is a 1.56 MB at the beggining of the hard drive that is UNUSABLE even if I delete partitions and/or try to expand or whatever you can imagine: it is unusable. Hard Drive is 120 GB SAMSUNG_SP1213C SV100-30. ALSO kinda weird: In Hardware Manager, I see a thing called Microsoft Composite Battery which wasn't there before, I never saw it before and I'm running a DESKTOP computer. Re-installing Windows AGAIN may fix this, but since this is not the main problem, I'll try to fix the GPU before. I used to get BLUE SCREEN when booting after installing lastest gpu drivers. It gave me errors for ATIKMDAG DLL but blue screen has gone (how? I don't know) I tried the MANUALLY EXTRACTING ATIKMDAG method but it didnt work on it. Blue Screen got fixed by itself, but the overheating problem is killing me.
All that I've tried been done correctly and the safe way.
What I think now: is the 1.56 UNUSABLE MB on my hard drive a VIRUS, OR is my graphic card infected by virus ( Avast use GPU acceleration... when it was running, did the virus get stuck in the GPU ? I also tried flashing the GPU BIOS safely... but it didn't work ( Motherboard BIOS is UP TO DATE, I also tried resetting this, the only thing I haven't tried yet is removing and put back the BIOS Battery. ) Is it my PSU ? but everything else works fine...
Once, I fixed it by removing the GPU for 1 months... Once I put it back, reinstalled drivers and it worked fine for a week...... An other time, it was by pushing the motherboard main power cable because it wasnt set correctly, but now it's not it... Please HELP ME !

I have a BIG problem with my GPU ( Ati Radeon HD 4350, I know it is cheap and old...) on my DESKTOP, which is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bits Edition, with 8 GO of RAM and the processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 at 3.16 Ghz.
My GPU suddenly started overheating a couple weeks ago, for apparently no reason, at idle, which makes the fan spinning at 100% all the time. The most important thing to know here is: it already happened a couple times in the past years, but I never been able to understand what was exactly the issue. It always fixed by itself, or after some Windows Settings modifications, for examples: Once it been fixed by changing Windows theme, an other time it was by resetting defaults in Catalyst Control Center or reinstalling drivers, once it was a virus... Never the same! But now the problem is that I tried everything: Clean windows reinstall, many clean virus scans with all the programs I could find (Combix Fix, Malwarebytes, Avast, Spybot, Rkill, TDSSKiller, and many others ) many clean drivers reinstallation with and without DDU, cleaned up the whole PC and GPU, checked cables, all updates, tried everything, EVERYTHING.
It allways start suddenly, and I used to be able to fix, but now I can't find a solution.. Also tried many forums suggestions, you're my last chance !!! I also tried playing with Power Plans (Windows) for it did not fix it this time. Once it started by changing Avast Setting... But this time, everything was fine, and then my computer went in Sleep mode for the night. When I woke up and moved the mouse, the computer got out of sleep mode and the GPU started overtheating....
Important: I can't manually control fans in CCC, which I was able to do before it started to go wrong (even if I never needed to control it ) Another thing: While inspecting my hard drive with GParted, I realised that there is a 1.56 MB at the beggining of the hard drive that is UNUSABLE even if I delete partitions and/or try to expand or whatever you can imagine: it is unusable. Hard Drive is 120 GB SAMSUNG_SP1213C SV100-30. ALSO kinda weird: In Hardware Manager, I see a thing called Microsoft Composite Battery which wasn't there before, I never saw it before and I'm running a DESKTOP computer. Re-installing Windows AGAIN may fix this, but since this is not the main problem, I'll try to fix the GPU before. I used to get BLUE SCREEN when booting after installing lastest gpu drivers. It gave me errors for ATIKMDAG DLL but blue screen has gone (how? I don't know) I tried the MANUALLY EXTRACTING ATIKMDAG method but it didnt work on it. Blue Screen got fixed by itself, but the overheating problem is killing me.
All that I've tried been done correctly and the safe way.
What I think now: is the 1.56 UNUSABLE MB on my hard drive a VIRUS, OR is my graphic card infected by virus ( Avast use GPU acceleration... when it was running, did the virus get stuck in the GPU ? I also tried flashing the GPU BIOS safely... but it didn't work ( Motherboard BIOS is UP TO DATE, I also tried resetting this, the only thing I haven't tried yet is removing and put back the BIOS Battery. ) Is it my PSU ? but everything else works fine...
Once, I fixed it by removing the GPU for 1 months... Once I put it back, reinstalled drivers and it worked fine for a week...... An other time, it was by pushing the motherboard main power cable because it wasnt set correctly, but now it's not it... Please HELP ME !
