is this a good motherboard for ryzen 1600 or 1600x its the MSI B450 TOMAHAWK AM4 AMD B450 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

i am going to upgrade ddr4 ram and ryzen 1600 or the 1600x

i currently have a ause motherboard with 16 gb ddr3 ram

gpu 1060 6gb gigabyte Wilberforce oc edition

600 watts 80 plus bronez ps

atx case the nzxt blue and black case

cpu amd fx 8350 black versa eddtion its not oc at all.

ok thanks for the reply i just wondering because i heard some poeple had post problems with ryzen cpus on this board don't know if amd fix that issue or not. but thx i am just planing doing 1080p gaming maybe some 4k.

I suspect the folks that had issues may have had other problems. I've had just about every manufacturer's board at one time or another including a AM4 MSI board. No problems as long as your board has a BIOS version that is new enough to recognize the CPU that you have installed.

Yes, so technically there are 1st Gen and 2nd Gen CPUs by Ryzen
The 1600 is 1st Gen.
The 2600 is 2nd Gen.

Usually you need to get the board for it.
B350 boards for 1st Gen.
B450 boards for 2nd Gen.
However, with the proper BIOS updates, you can use these boards with any CPU.
