Whenever I copy many files to my SanDisk Cruzer Blade 16GB pendrive, it stops in the middle saying "Error 0x800703EE the volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid".

I have to format the pendrive again, and it does work for the initial some percentage of copying, and it fails with the same error again. Please do help.

are you sure its 16GB? have you had that much data on it before? I remember drives being relabeled, and when you went passed the actual capacity, bam! errors like this.

assuming my premise is wrong here is a list of tools you can use to test the drive

I am pretty sure it is 16GB. It stops at around 500MB-1GB

Replace it.
Sounds like a dead or dying drive.
