Alright so I just came home from college and got rid of the wraith spire cooler and put in a clc 240mm qnd finally overclocked my 2600x to 4.2 ghz, downside being since I'm too impatient to wait until I go back to college to overclock, I had to to it in ryzen master becuase all I had was a mouse at my house no keyboard, and to get it stable at 4.2 I'm currently using 1.475v, which passed a 5 hour aida64 and cinebench, is there any harm to be had at 1.475v?

I guess then it will depend on the quality of the motherboard you have if 1.475v will be safe in the long run. If it is a high end board with voltage regulation that can provide clean power to the CPU, and your PSU is equally as good at providing enough clean voltage, you are probably OK.

I would not run it past 1.45, especially for a daily driver. It will probably be fine for a running some benches for hwbot, but the extra 100mhz wont give you any tangible benefit for daily use other than a few points higher on a bench.

You can try lowering the voltage and increasing the LLC if you are not hitting temp ceiling. It will improve stability at lower voltage, but your temps will go up.

Yeah... I'd probably not run it full time at 1.475. I'd stay at 1.45 max and see what other tweaks will stabilize it if you really need that extra MHz. I presume you had Turbo Boost disabled?
