Looking for a CPU to pair with a GTX 1060 for running Overwatch (on low settings) at 1080/144 fps

Hi,

Title kind of says it all.

With my current CPU (i5-7400, 3.00GHz), I can't sustain 144 fps and get huge fps drops. I ran MSI Afterburner and found my CPU usage is way higher than my GPU usage, often hitting the 90s.

What would be a good Upgrade? Thanks for the answers.

First off all i would like the name of the motherboard that is currently installed. that way i can see if it upgradable to an better cpu.
Second off all, an better cpu might not be nessesarly for this. i think your gpu is making to many frames where you cpu cannot keep up and creates an cpu bottleneck.

in my opinion your cpu doesn't need an upgrade. turn on V-Sync to 144fps or lower, that will help you cpu.
