i got these specs:

8060k cpu

mobo is rog maximus x hero

16gb ram

power supply is evga 500b1 psu

i wanna get a 5.0 ghz stable oc but im not sure if i can with this psu will it be safe?

No, i wouldn't do any OC'ing with that PSU. It's pretty garbage, and prob very old. I wouldn't even put it in there with everything at stock.

Get something decent, don't skimp out. A decent 650-750w will do and give you headroom to OC the CPU/GPU and a bit of room.

Something like this:

What GPU do you have. That will determine if you need more than 650w. Even still you should be okay with a single card solution.

No, I mentioned having up to a 750w. The reason is if you intend to OC either CPU/GPU. This will increase the wattage required for normal operation.

Like I mentioned even with OC the 650w should do as long as you're not going crazy. Having a little headroom for the PSU is good.

Agree with Rogue Leader too, that Seasonic is another quality unit.

Either will serve you well. Both have long warranties, and will last you from build to build for a good few years.
