Hi all, ive just brought a asrock imb-190, with a i5-7600cpu and one stick ddr4 sodimm 16gb the so called manual states that you can run this bocards from 12 volts 4 plug atx or 19-24 from dc input. I did plug the 4 pin from my atx into this board but when trying to turn on nothing happens. This power supply works fine for my gigabyte mb with 32 ram and amd cpu but thats take the 24 pin as well. I have contacted asrock and its been 2 weeks now and still havent got a reply. Im waiting for laptop power to arrive to try this. I was hoping that the 4 pin atx would work as it states but it doesn't. Also what size plug for power supply can not find any answers, anyone out there who could help me please.
Thank you
David Hughes

Also found out it can run on 12v dc input e.g. laptop charger and the 4 pin atx connector is 19-24v dc, I was lead to believe it was the other way around so the atx 4 pin connector probably won't work as it's 12v from the atx power. Any thoughts please

No, the 12V is the 4-pin ATX power connector and the AC adapter (laptop charger) is the 19~24V DC
You have two choices.
Use the 4-pin 12V ATX or 19~24V DC adapter.
You could get a universal laptop adapter, which includes many tips. One of them should fit the motherboard.
