im building my own gaming PC and i just heard that there's a new 9000 series and a new mobo.
at first my mobo will be asus z370-e + i7-8700k so i was thinking is it worth it to get the new series is there any much different? cause the new mobo gigabyte z390 aorus ultra + i7-8700k is cheaper. so now im in the middle of thinking should i get the i9 + z390 mobo or just stick to i7-8700k + z370 mobo

There's nothing wrong with this build. I think it would do fine and if you're waiting until end of November to order stuff you can catch a lot of it...

Believe it or not, the release of the new intel cpu's isn't actually going to affect the pricing of the current series of chips all that much. So whatever price point you're seeing today, don't expect much of a change.

As far as the i7-8700K vs the i7-9700K I wouldn't expect a major performance upgrade, but I do believe you will have better overclocking potential because it looks like intel may have finally taken customers complaints seriously and changed out the thermal compound for something a little better quality.

As far as the i7-8700K vs the i9-9900K you can expect some pretty big performance gains, especially if you plan to overclock. Speculations are suggesting that base from the box people could see the i9 sitting at 5.0GHz on all cores with almost no effort.

Right now, this is what you need to consider

1) When do you want/need the pc?
2) Are you looking for the best money saving options (buying used or waiting for a sale in November)
3) How much overclocking are you planning to do
4) How much of a power increase are you needing?

I'm going to answer slightly differently.

I wait till a model is no longer newest, it's price drops, then i'll buy. Why is because how much the price drops allot when a new "better" model is released and i can upgrade it almost as many times before having to throw it away. (new models that are similar don't cause hardly any price drop)

As far as waiting until a next model is released no. There's always something new released. Consider if you want to run an iMac or Nuc or laptop instead of PC - but forget up and coming. Go by what is out now.
