Any ideas why my laptop would suddenly slow down from 24Mbs to 5Mbs. Dell Latitude E6500 (2009), Win10Pro.
Ookla is a wifi test. Both devices were using the 5GHz band of my D-link 850L router. Bothe devices were in the same location about 25 feet from the router and in the same room. I'm thinking about moving the WLAN card from a slightly newer E6500 to the problem unit. The download factor is 2x., 12Mbs vs 24Mbs. Still doesn't explain the sudden loss though. I suspect my running low on drive space may be the problem. I have 15Gb left out of 1Tb. I just got another 1Tb in the mail. I'm going to move some stuff off the laptop and see if things improve.
