MOBO won't detect GTX 1060, but will detect Radeon HD 7570

I've been having a problem with my PC not detecting my GTX 1060, and I've also tried a 1050 TI and had the same results, but for some reason it will detect my old HD 7570 without a problem. If I try to start with the 1060, I won't get any display unless I restart multiple times, sometimes more than 20 times, but the 7570 starts like normal. I've tried a friend’s 1050 TI and it also doesn't boot. I must be missing something simple, and I was wondering what fixes there may be, and if this has already been answered, can someone link the forum?

First, check to see whether or not you have the MOST recent bios update installed for your motherboard.

Of utmost importance, what is the EXACT model number and brand of your power supply unit?

it may be your motherboard is so old that it does not have the more modern UEFI type BIOS. i beleve starting with the geforce 10 series cards they use this type of BIOS

I'm working on updating the bios for my ASUS 970 Pro board and I'll keep you updated on that, but my PSU is a Corsair CX550 80+ bronze rated, so it's not that old, from 2017 I think. I hope that helps.
UPDATE: I've updated my MOBO bios, and that doesn't seem to have fixed the problem, unfortunately.

With the 1060 installed, unplug the power from the PSU to the wall. Remove the CMOS battery for five minutes. During that five minutes, press the power button continuously for 30 seconds. After the five minutes is up, return the CMOS battery to the motherboard. Plug the power back in. Try to POST and if able, go into the bios and choose the default settings option. Save settings, exit and try to boot.

If this card DOES work, but only erratically, as you said, every twenty tries or so, then I'd ask whether you bought this card used? BUT, since you say the 1050 ti does the same thing, that blanks that thought.

I'd have to say in the end that it might simply be a case of this motherboard not having UEFI support which the 10 series cards require, although, I've seen some brand new Nvidia and AMD cards running on old Sandybridge and AM2/3 motherboards that are not UEFI equipped.
