I know that the iPhone 7 has the 3D touch or whatever with the screen, and i know that the iPhone 6 doesn't have 3D touch. I don't really care about having the 3D touch, I would just like to use my iPhone 7. I was wondering if the repair would work if i took the LED screen from my iPhone 6 and used it to replace the broken LED screen on my iPhone 7 and if it would work? Does the iPhone 7 need 3D touch to work? Are the screens compatible?

Solution
It should be a small almost invisible crack on screen, you have to look up with flashlight (If not then it might be an rare issue while connector isnt totally fitted onto socket of it), iphone 6s for instance mine, is using aftermarket touchscreen (with working 3D touch) and original LCD, thats refurbished.
The only way is to give it to someone to replace screen with your home button, or do it yourself, but I would rather give it to someone (Trusted 3rd party) to do the repair, they have to remove whole assembly on LCD with home button/camera/earpiece and transfer it onto new screen&touchscreen and stick it with adhesive (To make better contact of the screen for 3D touch).

As stated, no it wont work. Different parts. Very few parts if any are interchangeable between models.

Also if you want touch ID to work. You need to go to Apple for the repair or an Apple Authorized Service Provider. Only they can reset secure enclave with a new home button. You can also try to move your home button to a new display assembly but it isn't easy. Don't even bother with incomplete assemblies where you try to move the camera and speaker, even worse LCD.

Other considerations if you DIY
- Use iFixit guides, they'll tell you the parts and tools you need. There are a lot of specialty tools and possibly seals and adhesive. Although assemblies on Amazon have a lot of these
- Only buy an assembly with a boatload of good reviews
- If you can use OEM parts. Most likely you won't be able to. Apple doesn't make these available and anyone on eBay claiming OEM is probably lying.
- Replace the battery while it is open, only a battery with tons of good reviews. You want to replace the battery because opening an iPhone is a delicate operation and easy to cause serious damage. So, get everything done at once.
- Get opening pliers for an iPhone. It may not be listed in the guide but those cables inside are ungodly fragile. Those displays stick some and will jerk some when it finally releases from the body. The home button cable will then snap because it is short and weak. The opening pliers should limit the maximum distance it will open.

Actually some do replace broken front glass to keep original LCD.

Thank you all for the help, but the only thing i need replaced is the actual screen. The glass isnt cracked, the home button is not broken and there is no physical damage on the outside. Idk how by the actual LCD is busted and doesnt produce any image.
