Okay folks, here's my specs:
cpu: i7 6700k skylake(4.00GHz)
psu: evga 550w 80+ gold(fully modular)
mobo: gigabyte mini ITX GA-H110N
ssd: samsung 850 evo m.2 sata 3
RAM: corsair vengeance LPX DDR4 2666MHz(2 x 8GB)
cpu fan: cooler master geminII M4
gpu: msi GTX 1080 ARMOR 8g OC
as far as the issue; i have a pretty solid setup, however, certain games i can turn gfx all the way down and will STILL have awful fps rubberbanding(150 to 10 to 150(you get the idea)) and the games are unplayable(not literally but very unenjoyable). Also even with settings all the way on low, im maxing CPU and GPU to 100% in task manager(also rubberbanding percentages 10 to 100 to 10)
The most recent game I'm noticing this issue on is Forza Horizons 4, but there have been many others.
I've done basic troubleshooting: make sure temps are normal on both GPU and CPU, update graphics driver, close all background apps.
I'm wondering if there is anybody out there with any other tips, the only thing i know of and have not yet done is use DDU to clean graphics driver and clean install.
