FPS not what it use to be.

Hey guys,

So I've been having a problem lately with low FPS in mostly all games then I am use to having.I was testing the temps in my computer and they seem to be running pretty hot. Around 141 degrees Fahrenheit when in Rocket League on pretty low settings. i used benchmark and here are the results.

UserBenchmarks: Game 93%, Desk 91%, Work 67%
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K - 82.9%
GPU: Nvidia GTX 980 Ti - 96.8%
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB - 116.8%
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB - 107.5%
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V DDR4 2400 C15 2x8GB - 73.9%
MBD: MSI Z170A GAMING M7 (MS-7976)

Solution
Your CPU is under performing. Don't worry, it has been debunked that used parts perform worse than new ones. The most likely issue is your CPU needs a new application of thermal paste. You can do your GPU too if you feel brave.

Also, it doesn't hurt to make sure:

High Performance Power Plan is active.
Windows is set to performance under advanced system settings.
Your drivers are up to date.
Your BIOS is up to date.
Your disks are TRIMMED/Defragged
System files are in order (cmd.exe "sfc /scannow")
Your computer is clean. (CCleaner or built in Windows Disk Clean)

Thank you for your response! I will try to reapply the thermal paste and make sure everything is up to date!
