could you take one of these and one of these(a cable with type a connection)cut both of them into two pieces and taking the usb type a port and the ethernet port(s) and wiring them together and making a diy usb to ethernet like this
I know a usb to ethernet does cost like 10€ but I do have both of these things at home so it would be easier to make it under like 30 mins because if I buy one it takes minimum like 2 weeks to arrive.

and also does the wiring look like this inside the splitter and if so would I have to wire
them all into the same port and have one functioning port?

Solution
The ethernet protocol is quite different than the USB protocol. Just switching a couple of wires around WILL NOT convert the one protocol to the other. This can only be done by a small microcontroller, that is embedded in the USB to Ethernet dongle. So, the answer is NO, YOU CANNOT MAKE a home-made converter by joining the two cables, no matter how you wire them together.
