Sata3 HDD into MOBO's USB3 header - what cable should I use?

I'm out of SATA connectors (I have 4 available, and already 4 drives attached), but there are some USB 3.0 headers that I'm hoping to attach a 4TB SATA 3 5300 rpm HDD to.

I've tried to use one of these but it's not working (my theory is that the USB back panel connector does not supply enough power for the drive to spin up, because it does work on a SDD).

Shouldn't there be something like this on one end of the cable and and like that on the other?

Solution
Your theory is correct. The USB 3.0 header on the board is good for ~4.5W. The average 3.5" HDD requires 6.5 to 9W. SSD's only 0.6 to 2.8W
Might want to think about adding a SATA add-in card.
