So long story short where I live verizon is the only option for internet. I have had a 30gb plan on my hotspot for years and decided to swap to their unlimited plan. They told me I'd have 15gb of 4g then unlimited of 3g. I know that 3g is slower than 4g but was fairly sure it would suit my needs. I was wrong. They promised 600kb/s download speeds but I realistically only get about 70kb/s. This is completely unacceptable. I have an ellipsis jetpack hotspot and an antenna to go with it. Does anyone have any suggestions to boost my speed? This is borderline unusable! Thanks all

Since the speed is coming from Verizon towers, they would be the only ones that can help you. Only thing on your side you can do is to get larger antenna or move to another area that may have a stronger signal. 3G does get very slow, whenever my kid's MetroPCS service drops to 3G after 4G data runs out, the phone is barely usable for anything, even navigation is slow and buggy.
