Hi Guys
As the title says, my x16 slot is not giving any display where as the x8 slot gives. This has started 2 days back. The board is Asus M5A97 R2.0 paired with FX 6300 and 8GB(4+4) Ram.The GPU used is Zotac 1060 3GB and its works fine on my Gigabyte GA-H110M-S2.
This is a very basic system, no fancy stuff. The board does not give any no display card error as it does if there is none present, so its confirmed that it detects the card. I always hear a small bip as well on starting the system which always comes if the system post successfully. I made no changes to the system in recent past.
Can this be a hardware issue?
If yes, is this repairable?
I can live with x8 slot as well, but will performance suffer? I know theoretically they do but I need a practical view here.
If yes, how much in terms of percentage?
