I have a gigabyte gah55ms2h paired with a i5 650, 2gb of dynet ram at 1333mhz and a r7 260x.

everything is detected in the bios/post screen however after the "bios screen" it'll go to a screen with text that says "loading operating system" and just hang there. after countless hours of trying to troubleshoot and then eventually giving up thinking my cpu is dead by degradation over the past 7 years. however I thought I'd give it one more shot with the help from you guys.

I have the bios set to default, it's running version f5 (can't update to version f7 because it won't recognise my usb in the q-flash menu) and I'm trying to load windows 10 off a Samsung 750 Evo. I know the ssd works 100%. im honestly lost and I don't know what else to try. I have done the basic move the ram to another slot, reseat the cpu, make sure everything is securely plugged in and have even tried posting with igpu and I still got nothing. windows isn't corrupted because it was just working on my ryzen machine.

please help. video of what happens: https://youtu.be/5ewkuG-35h0

no. I can't boot off a USB. I can't do anything. after more research it's apparently a gigabyte problem with practically no fix.

>be gigabyte
>literally multi million dollar company
>make a motherboard thats completely faulty
>actually have 2 revisions of it and both are faulty.
good job gigabyte.

I have the same problem. Gigabyte motherboards suck. The solution to your question is to use a Linux ubuntu on your ssd and you will be surprised to see it work. Just get your ssd to some friend of yours and get ubuntu installed on it via USB. I am still finding the reason why I am not able to boot Windows 10 although I was successful once with Windows 7

ryzen machine don't use IDE mode by default they use AHCI mode.

gigabyte gah55ms2h uses SATA IDE mode by default.

SATA AHCI Mode (Intel H55 Chipset)
Allows you to decide whether to configure the SATA controller integrated in the Intel H55 Chipset to AHCI mode.

[IDE] Configures the SATA controller to IDE mode. (Default)
[AHCI] Configures the SATA controller to AHCI mode. Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) is an interface specification that allows the storage driver to enable advanced Serial ATA features
