My 3,5 months old SSD has already 61TB written on it. I checked it with Samsung Magician and CrystalDiscInfo and both report the same numbers. I changed the locations of system folders and Nvidia Shadowplay to my HDD right at the start. Basically I only have Windows on this drive. I do not understand where this huge number comes from. If you calculate the written bytes to the hours of usage it would be around 200GB per hour.

Anyone had this kind of issues? Is it possible that the Software is reporting wrong numbers?

Thanks for your help in advance

Yeah...200GB is huge and I'd think your drive light would be going crazy.

Maybe try HWInfo or HWMonitor. Both are free....both will give you that data as well.

I did this a week or so ago and the only software having exponentially high written bytes/s was iCloud photos. Deactivating it didn´t really help much. I guess I am going with the faulty report reason.
To be realistic: I should have noticed if my drive was writing about 200GB per hour while I was gaming.
