So I'm looking to upgrade the old Hyper 212 I have in my system, as my temps are getting a little high for my liking on my old 3770k @4.7ghz. In highly demanding CPU demanding games its hovering around 70*c which isn't terrible, but a little higher than I'd like and the processor seems to handle 4.8ghz but thermals are too much. I could use the Hyper 212 in a secondary build, so a new cooling solution is what I'm looking for.
Are there any specific recommendations for an AIO for the S340 Elite? I can fit 240mm up front, but the front air-flow isn't great and I definitely don't want to feed my 1080 FE hot air if possible.
If I went for a 140mm AIO, would it be better to mount it up front in the top mount or on the top mount blowing outwards?
I've heard 120/140mm AIO's aren't significantly better than a good tower style, but I like the aesthetic and my next build will probably be micro-atx or ITX so a big air cooler won't work moving forward.
So far I've looked at the Kraken x40/42 and the Arctic Liquid Freezer 120, any other recommendations that would work will in this kind of set up? Doesn't need to have any crazy RGB, but I wouldn't mind having the option.
