Audio sounds muffled; as if everyone else is farther from their microphone

This is a strange audio problem that I have not seen a fix to around here. I just bought a new pair of HyperX Cloud Stingers from amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L2ZRYVE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) and they have this weird sound. I have pretty much everything updated (audio drivers) and it has the exact same settings in Realtek as my last headphone pair, which worked perfectly and sounded well. Everything on this new pair just sounds farther away, like I am watching a recording of a video and hearing camera audio. I have it on stereo in realtek, as well, as that is the audio for the headphones. If anybody knows how to check overall for this issue or maybe some unlisted driver or setting or peripheral from the box I need to use to fix this, please help. (Update: The sound more seems like it comes from the back of my headphones, but the previous description still stands. Any other questions about my peripherals or other settings can still be answered. Thanks again)

Definitely fully plugged in. It also seems that after some testing, I can see that using 7.1 Surround Sound on realtek, there is a "center" option which isn't there in stereo, that makes it sound like my old headphones. Problem is, even if I choose that, it just defaults to left and right stereo speakers which sounds farther back. It is almost like playing a game such as CS:GO and hearing something to your left specifically, but getting that feeling on both headphones trying to emulate "center" instead of actually using it.
