For a few days now I am greeted with a "This site can't be reached" when browsing certain websites. This includes facebook, so I think it's safe to rule out a problem with the websites.
I can browse the websites with my phone and laptop (both connected via WLAN), but not my normal PC (connected via cable). Interestingly though I can reach the sites with Edge, but neither Firefox nor Chrome. I can also ping those sites and get a response. I suspect that it might have something to do with the recent windows 10 update, because it definetely worked a few weeks ago and I do not recall doing anything that might affect it.
Further information / what I tried:
-problem persists when disabling Kaspersky
-not using a proxy and no proxy is accidently set
-restarted router and pc
-using the ip instead of the website's name
-tried a couple of commands like netsh reset int ip logfile and netsh reset winsock
-reinstalling Chrome and Firefox
I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
