SSD data recovery after a simple delete

Hi, everyone. My first post here.

I recently accidentally hit "shift+delete" on the main folder in my samsung evo 500 gb external SSD and deleted >300 GB of data. I initially thought since it was a simple delete and I did not overwrite it with anything it should be simple enough to recover the data. I have now used 6 different programs to no avail.

These include Disk drill (paid full version), EaseUS data recovery (paid full version), Ontrack EasyRecovery, Stellar phoenix data recovery, Hetman partition recovery, and Recuva.

Each one of them have returned only 2 files back (only a few kb in size). I have run the deep scan on each occasion which takes more than an hour to complete.

Any advice or guidance will be appreciated. I am certain I did not overwrite my SSD.

Thank you

A technology called TRIM wipes out deleted data blocks as soon as the file using the blocks is deleted. TRIM is supported by Windows 7 and later Windows versions.

If data is deleted by TRIM, it can’t be recovered. The only possible solution is chip-off recovery which can be very expensive.

Yes, unfortunately, same thing happened with a Non-SSD external drive. Can not retrieve anything (actually some files were returned with a deep scan but none that were recently on the drive) after a simple shift+delete. Must be the same reason.

Thank you
