A micro SD card I was using in a device mysteriously came into some issue where the card appears to be blank, and I can't view or edit any files on the card when it's in a computer or anything UNLESS I'm using an application like "icare data recovery". Then I can actually see all of the files and directories, but I can't export them.
I'm not willing to pay the $79 or whatever for that program, but I haven't found another program that lets me SEE all of those files, and especially not one that exports them with ALL the files in roughly the right directories.

It's mostly .nds roms and other system files for an r4-type card. Is there any way I can properly recover the files with paying any money?

OKAY, so after downloading some 7 or 8 data recovery softwares and probably a number of viruses with them, I finally found a solution - albeit one limited to 1GB only; I found an old installer for an app called MiniTool POWER Data Recovery (version 6.6 I used) and was able to export 1GB worth of the files I'd lost from the micro SD card. I now am backing up the Micro SD and I also moved my data from the stock no-brand 8GB card to a Toshiba 4GB for reliability.
