Hi All,

Just built a PC gig with Ryzen 7 2700, MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon mobo, and G.Skill Aegiss DDR4 3000mhz RAM.

However, the DDR4 3000mhz RAM is only showing up as 2133mhz in the BIOS. I've tried to enable both XMP 1 or XMP2, still shows as 2133mhz.

Anyone to get these S.Kill Aegiss DDR4 RAM to run at 3000mhz or close to it?

Here's link to the RAM

Thanks guys for any help you can offer.

I just built a rig for a friend yesterday. It was working flawlessly with xmp profile running on 3000mhz. I just had to enable the profile in bios. Initially it was on 2133MHz also.

Rig specs:
R5 2600, Asrock B450 fatality gaming k4, 2x 8 gb gskill aegis 3000mhz

How many sticks are you running? More than two would be pushing the luck a bit too much on this cheap memory.

Can you share the details?

After you enabled XMP, does it shows up as 3000mhz in BIOS? I did enabled XMP in the BIOS, but it's still showing 2133mhz.

And I am running 2x8GB. Two sticks

Actually i didn't checked it in bios since i only had to visit it one time on the initial boot. But i checked the speed and timings later on in Windows using cpu-z and hwinfo64.

Both programs were reporting 1500mhz speed (which means ddr4 3000mhz when doubled), so yes it worked.

Just checked CPUZ, and my DRAM Frequency is showing 1466.3Mhz.

I guess multiply that by 2 and I get 2932.6Mhz.

I supposed that's pretty darn close to 2933Mhz that these RAM should be running at. I don't think these RAM would effectively run at exactly 3000Mhz?
