Ram compatability problems

Hey folks. I have a 2x8gb ddr4 3733mhz corsair dominator platinum kit and was wondering if it would work with a ryzen 7 2700x. Can't find the ram support anywhere. I can get the CPU for cheap! Around 270$

That would depend on your motherboard and if it can get to that frequency. Out of the box, you should be able to hit 3200MHz or 2933/3000MHz however that will depend purely on what motherboard you're using in tandem with the R7 2700x. Please note that the 2nd Gen Ryzen draw more power from the board which is why you're advised to go for a 400 series chipset when purchasing the 2nd Gen Rysen to pair it with.
