When I try installing the newest nvidia driver it says "installer couldn't find any compatible hardware" though driver supports my video card (GT 720m)

When I look into the driver's files (ListDevices.txt) there are two GT 720ms, but with different hardware ids. What can I do?

Solution
In my opinion dont update drivers. Nvidia recently released rtx series graphics card. To boost their sales, nvidia is making older gpus under perform. The latest update made games run 10fps slower. Hope you consider my advice. Also you can find many videos on youtube about decreased performance due to new drivers.
Thank you
you probably have a laptop with switching graphics.
On desktop the integrated graphics are used and the 720m is turned off. So the installer does not find it.
Most times it is best to use the laptop makers drivers(repackaged Nvidia drivers) with their switching drivers installed.
