Questions:
1. Which is your power supply, is it very old?
2. Which operating system you have, and is it fully updated?
Probable solutions:
Try reconnecting hdd, try updating windows and all drivers, try testing hdd in a friend's pc

Win10 fully updated - 750W and old, hmmm… +-7 years.

Connected and reconnected every way i could, normally a HD just from the store, should be ok, but your right, you never know. Still… i think it's more a common problem, fixable in settings or my motherboard can't handle 4TB HD's.

Things to try:

See if another computer will initialize the drive.

Start in safe mode then reboot.

The most likely cause of the error is a disk issue . Check with WD support. Sometimes their Diagnostic Utility corrects the issue.

Or the drive needs to be replaced.

PS The error has nothing to do with partition/disk size. Windows 10 can initialize a 4TB drive, no problemo.
