Hi,

I have this problem for couple of weeks now, games just begin to either freeze on launch or crush during gameplay. The game itself launch, but it freeze or during the "opening credits" or during a few minutes of gameplay, the gameplay itself also freeze and stutter sometimes until it completly freeze. The game don't crush, it just freeze, can't close it without tast manager.
It not happened in all games, only in some, prime example for games that crush are Dark Souls 3, Tekken 7
Smite on the other hand work just fine.
I try formating my PC, re-installing everything and it didn't work.
I try moving them to a different hard drive, it didn't work.
Tried verifying game files, didn't work.
Tried to disable steam overlay, game mode, windows defenders, updating drivers and windows. And still doesen't work.
The thing is that this games used to work just fine before couple of weeks. I tried to install previous GPU driver, still not working.

Any help to work around it?

My Specs are:
Gigabyte H81M-HD3 ver 1
i5 4590
RX 580 8GB
16GB RAM DDR3 1600hz
Corsaid VS650
And I tested this on SanDisk SSD PLUS 480GB, and Seagate Barraccuda 1TB

On the event viewr I get this message when it happened:
Process ID: 3350

Please help me with that :(

Wouldn't be too suprised if it's the vs650 not being able to handle the rx 580. My bet is that the moment you put smite in unlocked framerate mode it will also crash due to your gpu wanting more power.

Try something like unigene superposition benchmark and see if it also fails. If it does it further points to a problem with the gpu and more likely the psu since these are known to have issues powering higher power consumption cards.

I had my problems in the past with this PSU but if he can't handle it wouldn't the PC just crash when the GPU will try to draw more power than the PSU can handle?

Not always. When it's on the edge of almost enough but not quite the system tends to become unstable but not neccesarily crashes completly.

Let's say i'll switch it, what should I know before buying a new one? Because I got this one as it was the cheapest PSU that had 600W (minimum for my old R9 290), plus I assume it's good since it's made by corsair.
But it failed me many times over the years, got warranty replcaement once. but now I am off warranty time.

I just ran unigene superposition benchmark on extream setting in both DirectX and OpenGL and it complete both of them. On 15~20 FPS, but it finished the test without crushing or freezing.

my typo mistake. I meant to say, I let it ran for 20 minutes and it didn't crush*, all went smooth.

Just tried it, the problem remain.
I also tried to Install a pirated version of Tekken 7 to test, and the problem remained.
I tried to go to offline steam, and the problem remain.
