Hi guys.......

Today i saw this video
https://youtu.be/mFSLro_OXLQ

This video compare games between old Nvidia driver and the new driver
Show that Nvidia slow down performance with new driver's than an old Driver.

Soooooooo is that true????
Really Nvidia slow down performance with newer Driver in all games????

Thanks for Answers

Solution
drivers main purpose is to fix things performance is almost secondary as long as it is not significant it is more important to fix hiccups than fix a small performance drop. also i am to lazy to watch the video so is the difference small? dropbox auto update running at the wrong time(or womething equaly studip) could skew the numbers. also game by game and card by card this will be different. and finally this could easily be clickbait something like this would attract viewers quickly(or that might have been the intention).

It's possible. I've been gaming since Nvidia TNT days and drivers can improve and they can also break stuff. One game might benefit while others endup being poo.

Always good to read the Geforce.com driver feedback forum first before installing newest drivers and see how it's behaving for people who have tried it already.

v416.34 is out so maybe things have changed.

Going from 391xx to 397xx drivers for me gave improvements so newest drivers doesn't always necessarily mean backwards performance. I guess the new line of RX gpus would be the cause while Nvidia tries to optimise these so hopefully enough people complain and Nvidia will fix performance for older gen cards soon.

The difference in the video is at some points 75fps vs 65fps.

I've heard conspiracy theories about Nvidia lowering performance in their previous generation cards to promote their current gen. Not sure I believe that though, perhaps it isn't intentional and just a one off kinda thing where they will fix it with the next update.
