hello,

I currently have bios version 2.7 with a H110m ECO MSI 7994 motherboard.

I am looking to set XMP profile in bios, however my bios ui software (with ui software i mean click bios 5 for example) does not have an OC section.

Does my bios ui software upgrade when i download the latest (7994v2D) bios upgrade? (in the hope this version does give me an OC section with me being able to enable XMP profile)

cause if not i do not want to risk the flash going wrong/it can save me some time.

thanks

I used CPU-Z, i got 16GB (2x8gb modules) of DDR4, NB Frequency says 3180Mhz or so, DRAM Frequency says 1060Mhz.

I do not know the advertised speed, i think i just mentioned the speed it lists, and there is absolutely nothing on XMP profiles in my bios, so i cant tell you what the XMP profile says.

I just want to optimize the speed because of gaming.

I can give you my full system specs, but i think that goes a little beyond the specific question that im asking.

please let me know why you need that info, and if its absolutely necessary i will open my rig and get your answers.

Actually, it does NOT go beyond the criteria of the question you are asking because that board supports different memory based on which CPU is installed. Which is weird, and not how memory compatibility is usually reckoned.

Unlike the answer SkyNetRising gave you, I actually did the research to find the correct answer (Sorry SkyNet) and it seems that on Skylake only 2133mhz is supported, but depending on the memory module, 2400mhz memory speeds are supported on that board with a Kaby lake CPU. This, according to the MSI QVL list for that board.
