Yes, you will want to update the BIOS BEFORE doing a CPU swap. The Asrock motherboards make it pretty easy to upgrade. If you have an ethernet cable connected, you can update right from the BIOS user interface.

So i don't have ethernet but a wireless connection, do you have any video or guide on how to update BIOS beacuse im not too confident unless following a guide and also i know that if something goes wrong it might cost alot. (Dont spend too long if you can't find something, ill just look it up myself, just want to know if theres like a recommended guide or something)
And just to clarify, the ryzen 3 needs to be in the system while updating BIOS and afterwards its all good to chuck in the ryzen 5?
