So I have been having some recent issues with my mic on specific apps. In Fortnite and the Xbox party, on PC, my friends say my mic is extremely quiet. I have also noticed it only picks up my voice when I yell. In addition to this, there is also supposedly a low screeching sound in the background, kind of like the sound you hear when someone has an extremely bad mic. The strange part is my mic works perfectly fine for discord. I tried updating my drivers, changing the properties, resetting them to normal, plugging and re plugging in wires, etc. I don't know when to pinpoint when exactly it happened but it happened after a recent windows 10 update. Something also to note, I use NVIDIA shadowplay, an app that records in game clips along with youre voice. I have no idea what could be going wrong. If anyone could help me with some ideas that would be great.
*Edit: I have tried re-installing un-installing the last windows update and furthermore, re-installed windows 10, as I have seen windows might have been causing the problem but this has not fixed the issues at all.
